- Storage and wardrobe furniture items may have unique components that are required to be added to the product list in order to be assembled.
- If missing components are not added to the product list, they will not be assembled.
If your storage and/or wardrobe items have a unique design code, we recommend adding it to the product list. This will ensure all components are included in the assembly.
- Examples include: PAX, BESTÅ, KALLAX, BILLY, SMÅSTAD and IVAR.
IKEA Assembly does not include the removal of any baseboards. If removing baseboards is required, we ask that you remove them before the task or hire a Tasker under the Light Carpentry Category to do so.
The list below will provide guidance on what’s included in the assembly of your furniture, ranging from beds to desks.

- Assembly of all bedframe components including mid beam and slats, squaring and fixing of backs, attaching legs, unwrapping and laying of mattress leveling, and fixing to wall (where applicable).

- Assembly of all cabinet components including squaring and fixing of backs, attaching legs, shelves, hinges, doors, drawers, handles, leveling, and fixing to wall (where applicable).
- Note: Please ensure that all drawers, shelves, handles, and doors are individually listed. If the design code is available, the easiest way to do this is to enter it into the product list, which will include all individual components.
- Wardrobes
- Assembly of all cabinet components including squaring and fixing of backs, shelves, drawers, handles, KOMPLEMENT storage components, leveling, and fixing to wall.
- Note: Please ensure that all drawers, shelves, handles, and doors are individually listed. If the design code is available, the easiest way to do this is to enter it into the product list, which will include all individual components.
Living/Dining Rooms
- Bookcases & Display Cabinets
- Price is per cabinet (Frame). Assembly of all cabinet components including squaring and fixing of backs, shelves, leveling, and fixing to wall (where applicable).
- Storage
- Assembly of all cabinet components including squaring and fixing of backs, attaching legs, shelves, hinges, doors, drawers, handles, casters, or related inserts. Leveling and fixing to wall (where applicable).

- Assembly of all chair components including backs, arms, and "gas" lift.
