Hiring a Tasker is simple, and only requires a valid credit card. You will not be charged until after the task is finished. You can book a Tasker up to 15 days in advance using the web or your mobile app.
In some cities where we operate, you have the option to book a Tasker for Same Day help. This article details which TaskRabbit services are available in each city.
Please note that Taskers set their own hourly rates, and therefore these rates will vary by Tasker.
Once you hire your Tasker, you will have the opportunity to chat with them about your task details. Please note that your Tasker may forfeit the task if you do not respond to chat messages. You can find more information about chatting with your Tasker in this article.
How to Hire a Tasker for a Future Date on Mobile:
From the home screen on your mobile app, please be sure to verify your task location in the upper left corner, because it will automatically default to your current location.
You can update this from the "Task Address" field. You can also save frequently used locations, such as home or work.
Select the category that best suits your task. You can select a category from one of the suggested titles or by utilizing the search bar to receive a list of the closest matches.
To book a Tasker for a future date, select "Schedule," then "Select a Time & Date." After setting your time and date, use the "Save" button.
You will be able to enter more information about your task, including task size, task description, and any promo codes. We recommend including as much information about your task as possible for the best results.
To finalize booking, select "Continue" at the bottom of your screen. You will not be charged until your task has been completed; however, please note that we do have a 24-hour cancellation fee policy once your task is scheduled and confirmed by you and your Tasker.
You will see recommendations for Taskers, including their reviews and number of tasks completed. Select the Tasker's image, and you will be able to learn see more detail about them. Taskers that you have hired before will say "Book again."
How to Hire a Tasker for a Future Date on the Web:
Go to the TaskRabbit website.
To begin the booking process select a task category or use the search bar to browse categories
Enter your task details, including date, time, and task location
After selecting "Save," we provide a list of Taskers who are available. Check their profiles to read reviews, see their hourly rates, and determine if they’re a good match for your task.
Choose "Select & Continue" to review a summary of your task before booking. You can also enter a promo code at the bottom of the form, if you have one.
Once you’ve hired a Tasker, you and your Tasker will use the chat feature to discuss additional details.
If your Tasker is unable to perform the task, they will forfeit the task. Then you can rebook the task if you'd like.
After your Tasker has completed your task, your Tasker will submit an invoice for the number of hours worked (and expenses, if applicable). Please note that all tasks have a One Hour Minimum, and your Tasker will be unable to invoice for less than 1 hour. We are a cash-less platform, so you should pay your Tasker securely through the site.

How to Hire More Than One Tasker
Since all Taskers are independent contractors, each task invitation is sent to one Tasker. If you need more than one Tasker for a task, you should submit a new request for each hire. This ensures that every invoice is allocated properly to each Tasker's personal account.
For example, if you need two people to help you move across town, please hire the two Taskers separately. You cannot request two Taskers in a single task invitation. Please know that Taskers are not permitted to bring a friend to a task; all Taskers must be verified and background checked.
