Strong Customer Authentication

As of Sept 14, 2019, European banks will require users to verify their identity before making any online purchases. This is called Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) and is part of the second Payment Services Directive (PSD2).

How does it work?

  • New users: You’ll be redirected to a secure page during the booking process and asked to enter identifying info for authentication. If you succeed, you’ll see that you’ve successfully booked a tasker.
  • Existing users: You’ll be prompted to update your credit card via email the next time you book. You can update this info on both the Taskrabbit website and mobile app.

I failed my authentication, what should I do?

Please contact your bank if you’re having any trouble verifying your identity.
