Drawing a work area map is how you let prospective Clients know where you're able to task. This informs how you receive direct invitations for tasks.
This article helps explain how to draw your default map for future date direct invitations on the web and from your Tasker app (where available).
Using the Web
In all of our active metros, you can update your work area map from the web.
To access your map on the web, you will need to login to your Profile page and select the Availability tab. Begin by clicking a point on the map to outline your desired work area. To finish, click on the point where you began to create a closed shape.
This video will walk you through the process:
Please note: Elite Taskers recommend using the most up-to-date version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox if you aren’t doing so already, as this does typically resolve any display issues you may encounter.
While we generally recommend using a desktop with a mouse to draw your map area, you may also have success using the touchscreen of a touchscreen-enabled laptop to try drawing the points on your map.
Using the Tasker App
Taskers in certain metro areas have the option to draw a work area map from their Tasker app. If you're in one of these metro areas, you'll notice the "Demand Map" tab at the bottom of your Tasker app menu.
Tap on "Demand Map" to pull up a map that shows where tasks are being requested in your metro area. If you draw your work area around where you see the highest demand, you are likely to get invitations to more tasks. Tap on "Draw Work Area" at the bottom of the map.
Next, tap "Edit" in the top right corner. After that, tap "Set Map Location" at the bottom of the page. You will then be able to draw your map with your finger. Make sure you click on the point where you began to create a closed shape to finish. Finally, tap "Save". For more details, see the pictures below.
