As stated in our Terms of Service, TaskRabbit is a technology platform that allows Users to connect with each other so they can be their most productive selves. Taskers determine what categories they are qualified to task in, and scope the task directly with their Client. Clients are advised to confirm with their Tasker that their Tasker is qualified to perform the task prior to the task taking place. TaskRabbit does not direct how a Tasker performs a task, does not monitor tasks or chat threads between Users, and does not otherwise oversee or assume responsibility for the actions of Taskers. TaskRabbit is not liable for the acts or omissions of Users, nor does TaskRabbit provide insurance against any losses sustained by Users. That said, because we want you to be happy about your TaskRabbit experience, we choose to offer a Happiness Pledge, on the terms set forth here.
Our Happiness Pledge is secondary coverage to any insurance or policies you already have in place. These would include but is not limited to medical insurance coverage, renter’s insurance, homeowner’s insurance or an umbrella policy (“Personal Insurance”). In addition, all complaints must be submitted within fourteen (14) days of the task completion date. To submit a claim, please click here.
Below is a summary of the Pledge, with further information here.
TaskRabbit will compensate:
(a) Clients up to USD One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) per occurrence for Losses arising from Property Damage as a direct result of Negligence of a Tasker during performance of a Task;
(b) Users - both Clients and Taskers - up to USD Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) for Bodily Injury sustained by a User who did not cause the injury, as a direct result of Negligence by another User during the performance of a Task;
(c) Clients up to USD Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) per occurrence for Losses arising from Theft of a User’s property by a Tasker during performance of a task.
Restrictions apply so please visit the TaskRabbit Happiness Pledge page for detailed information.
Certificates of Insurance (COI) are linked at the bottom of this article. Please note that these are as-is documents and cannot have any other information added to them or altered in any way.
