If you need a cleaning task, you can use our convenient auto-recurring feature on either the web or app.
Clients can choose to hire a Tasker for discounted, ongoing cleaning appointments weekly, biweekly, or monthly. You can enjoy the convenience of having the same Tasker each cleaning, who can learn your specific needs. Your task is automatically scheduled for 3 subsequent future appointments with each invoice. Simply chat with your Tasker to confirm each appointment.
Booking on the web:
To book on the web, please log into your account on the TaskRabbit website.
Select the cleaning icon on our homepage or use the search bar to begin the booking process. You will be prompted to answer a few questions about your task, including task size, location and details.
On the following page, you can choose when and how often you want your task to occur. When you select a repeat frequency, you’ll see the discount you will receive on each invoice.
After selecting your task’s date and time, you will see available Taskers. You can browse profiles, read past Client reviews, and see Taskers’ hourly rates. To book a Tasker, select the green "Select and Continue" button below the Tasker’s profile picture.
Once you have confirmed and booked your Tasker, you can chat with your Tasker and discuss details of the task. When you and your Tasker have decided on an exact time and the Tasker has scheduled an appointment, you will see three future appointments auto-scheduled.
Please note that your task is ongoing and appointments will continue to pre-populate until you cancel the service.
Booking On the Mobile App:
To book a recurring cleaning using your mobile app, select the Cleaning option on the home screen. You will need to provide additional information about your task, including task size, location, and details.
From the "How Often" tab, you can choose how often you need the task.
You will be asked to confirm the details of your task and will see available Taskers in your area. Once you have selected a Tasker, you can chat with them about your task. When you and your Tasker have decided on a task time and the Tasker has scheduled an appointment, you will see three future appointments auto-scheduled. Please note that the task is ongoing and appointments will continue to pre-populate until you cancel the service.
For both web and mobile, these appointments have been auto-scheduled at the original frequency and at the same time your original task was scheduled. Please keep in mind that these are simply placeholders and can be adjusted to your schedule. For each appointment, you have the option to reschedule or skip. You will receive an email 72 hours before each appointment as a reminder.
If circumstances have changed and you need to reschedule a future appointment, you can reschedule an appointment from your online dashboard or your mobile app.
On the web:
From your dashboard, select the calendar icon labeled "Edit" for the appointment you wish to change. You will be able to select a new date and time on the drop down menu, where you can view time-slots when your Tasker is available. If a time slot is grey, this indicates that your Tasker is not available at that time. It is recommended that you chat with your Tasker to confirm each new appointment.
From the app home screen, select the "Tasks" tab and select the recurring cleaning task. By selecting "Task Info" you can view all upcoming appointments.
From this page, select the calendar icon labeled "Edit", where you can choose a new time and date. By selecting the drop down menu, you can view time-slots when your Tasker is available. If a time slot appears grey, this indicates that your Tasker is not available at that time. It is recommended that you chat with your Tasker to confirm each new appointment.
For web and mobile, once a new time has been scheduled, your Tasker will be informed of this change. It will also be documented by an automatic chat message.
Please keep in mind that if it is less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time, you will not be able to use the reschedule feature. You can always chat with your Tasker and discuss a new time. If the Tasker agrees to the last minute change, they are able to change the appointment time. We have this policy in place because Taskers are reserving time in their schedules for your task, and are turning down other work opportunities.
If you are unable to reschedule an existing future appointment, you can skip Cleaning appointments.
On the web:
From your dashboard, select the calendar icon for the appointment you’re skipping. Under the "Reschedule" button, there is an option to select "Skip". Once a task is skipped, your Tasker is notified. This change will also be documented in the chat message.
From the app home screen, select the "Tasks" tab. Choose your recurring cleaning task from the list. From "Task Info", you can view all upcoming appointments and select the calendar icon to "Skip" your task. Once a task is skipped, your Tasker is notified. This change will also be documented in the chat message.
Please keep in mind that if an appointment is skipped within 24 hours of the appointment time, you may incur a cancellation fee. For more information on our cancellation policy, please visit this article. At this time, only our Customer Support Team can add a promo code to an ongoing cleaning task.
