Clients now have the opportunity to have their IKEA items delivered and assembled same-day or next day, exclusively at IKEA Tampa.
How it works:
- After checking out with your items, visit the home delivery section and speak with an IKEA co-worker about booking Delivery with Assembly.
- Book right from your phone while in store! Navigate to tampadelivery.tr.co, select your items and your preferred delivery time.
- Leave your items with an IKEA Home Delivery co-worker, and you’ll be matched with a Tasker to retrieve them. It is likely that the TaskRabbit team will call to confirm all details prior to assignment. You’ll be able to chat directly to coordinate with your Tasker online or in the app once assigned.
How much will the delivery and assembly cost?
The minimum order is $69 including delivery. Delivery is a flat rate of $33. Assembly is a flat rate that varies per item. To see the total cost of your task, select the items you would like assembled and add them to your task. You are only charged after each task is complete.
When can I book my delivery and assembly?
When you book your task with an IKEA co-worker, you will choose your preferred start time for delivery. While we strive to meet your request, we may be in touch with an alternative time due to order size or Tasker availability and you'll be able to confirm if this time works for you. Due to booking timing and Tasker availability, we may send a separate Tasker to assemble your furniture, possibly the next day. You’ll be updated along the way and can talk and chat directly with your Tasker via our app or website.
Why do I see two tasks on my dashboard?
After you book the task, you’ll see two tasks listed: an IKEA Delivery task and an IKEA Assembly task. You can also download the TaskRabbit app for easier navigation if you’d like. While we will try to have the same Tasker complete both tasks, there is a chance we may send a separate Tasker for the Delivery and Assembly. You will have the option to chat with both Taskers if needed. You’ll also be able to review and tip accordingly.
Who are Taskers and how do I get matched?
Taskers are identity- and background-checked independent contractors who use the TaskRabbit platform as a means to provide services in over 40 categories; including furniture assembly, moving, and delivery. Once you have booked via our website, TaskRabbit will connect you with a Tasker or Taskers to complete your task.
How does payment work?
Payment is handled securely online, through the TaskRabbit platform. You will submit your payment information when booking, but will only be charged after the task is complete. You’ll also receive two invoices automatically at the end of the task where you can tip and rate your Taskers individually if you had more than one.
What is included in my assembly?
Furniture assembly and mounting for most IKEA items (does not yet include kitchen or bathroom installations). To help prevent injury or death from furniture tipover, IKEA requires that furniture with included restraints must be secured to the wall, as provided for in the assembly instructions. Your Tasker will be equipped with an electric drill and has agreed to secure items to the wall when specified in the instructions.
How do I contact my Tasker? Is there an app?
Once we match you with a Tasker, you’ll be able to chat with them directly. You can do this through taskrabbit.com on your phone or your computer. You can also download the TaskRabbit app for easier and more instant communication if you prefer. You can also call your Tasker through the TaskRabbit app if needed.
