Your payment will be automatically charged to the credit or debit card on file within 24 hours of your Tasker submitting their invoice. Taskers and Clients must complete all payments via the Taskrabbit platform. Any other payment methods such as cash or off-platform payment apps are not allowed.
Your invoice will include the number of hours worked plus any agreed-upon expenses. Please note, expenses are not permitted on IKEA tasks.
If you wish to add a tip, you can do so within the above 24-hour time frame. Information on tipping can be found here.
If you need to update your current card on file, you can do this through the Taskrabbit app or website.
To update your credit or debit card on the Taskrabbit app:
- Tap "Profile" on the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap "Payment" from the list of options.
- Tap "Credit Card" at the bottom.
- Enter your new credit card info.
- Tap "Save."
To update your credit card on the Taskrabbit website:
- Click "Account" in the top-right corner of your screen.
- Click "Billing Info" from the list.
- Click "Edit."
- Enter your new credit card info.
- Click "Save."
Prepaid cards are not accepted as a form of payment on Taskrabbit.
Keep in mind: Taskrabbit’s Happiness Pledge only covers Tasks that are booked and fully paid for through the Taskrabbit platform.
The following payment practices are not allowed:
- Issuing payment outside the platform for any hours a Tasker worked.
- Giving another User your contact info (phone number, email address, or website) for the purpose of off-platform payment or tasks.
- Canceling or blocking payment for a task that's been started or completed.
- Any other action that circumvents the Taskrabbit payments system.
Clients and Taskers should report any form of attempted off-platform payments to Taskrabbit Customer Support.
