The Taskrabbit Skills, Tools and Scope Policy

We strive to provide a reliable and efficient platform connecting Clients with skilled Taskers. To promote transparency and accurate task booking on the Taskrabbit platform, we have the following policy concerning expectations regarding the scope, skills and tools needed to complete a task.

This policy applies to both Taskers and Clients. Please note that the requirements and examples below are not exhaustive and are subject to change.

This policy requires that:

  • As a Tasker, when you opt in to a category, you are certifying that you have the skills, tools and licences necessary to complete tasks in that [category / skill]. You can view the skills and tools expected by clients in two ways:
    • For new categories: These are visible in the “Add Skills” screen.
    • For categories you have already opted into: these are visible in “My Skills”; click on a category you have already added and scroll down to “View Expectations.”
  • Taskers should only opt in to [categories / skills] where they have the necessary skills and tools to perform the task.
    • If a Task is canceled after it was accepted because the Tasker did not have the necessary skills or tools to perform the Task, that is a violation of Taskrabbit’s Terms of Service.
  • Taskers are recommended to ask scoping questions about the Task before accepting. If the Task is not yet accepted, the Tasker can decline the Task invitation.
  • Clients must read the Task and category descriptions carefully, and respond to the Tasker’s scoping questions in a way that fairly and accurately reflects the Task they want the Tasker to undertake.
  • Taskers who are repeatedly found to lack the necessary skills or tools for [categories / skills] they have opted into may have their access to those [categories / skills] limited.
  • This policy is intended to clarify expectations set forth in Taskrabbit's Global Terms of Service. Please note that Terms of Service violations can result in account limitations, including account suspension and/or deactivation.

Taskrabbit reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time.
