How Do I Pay My Tasker?

Your payment will be automatically charged to the credit or debit card on file within 24 hours of your Tasker submitting their invoice. There's no need for cash to change hands, as we're a cashless platform.

Your invoice will include the number of hours worked plus any agreed-upon expenses. If you want to add a tip, you can do so within the above 24-hour time frame. Info on tipping can be found here.

If you need to update your current card on file, you can do so both on the TaskRabbit app and website.

To change your credit card on the TaskRabbit app:

  • Tap "Profile" on the bottom navigation bar.
  • Tap "Payment" from the list of options.
  • Tap "Credit Card" at the bottom.
  • Enter your new credit card info.
  • Tap "Save."

To update your credit card on the TaskRabbit website:

  • Click "Account" in the top-right corner of your screen.
  • Click "Billing Info" from the list. 
  • Click "Edit."
  • Enter your new credit card info.
  • Click "Save."

Keep in mind—Prepaid cards not accepted as a form of payment on TaskRabbit.

We ask users to refrain from violating the spirit of payments in any form, as the security of confidential information is essential to the success of the platform. This includes:

  • Issuing payment outside the platform for any hours a Tasker worked.
  • Giving another User your contact info (phone number, email address, or website) for the purpose of off-platform payment.
  • Canceling or blocking payment for a task that's been started or completed.
  • Negotiating the hourly rate set by the Tasker on their profile.
  • Any other action that circumvents the Taskrabbit payments system.

Tasks performed and paid off-platform are not subject to or protected by the Taskrabbit Happiness Pledge.
