Who does Tasks for Good serve?
Tasks for Good is intended for individuals (immunocompromised, elderly, disabled, healthcare workers) and organizations (non-profits, government agencies, community-based organizations, local small businesses) who are experiencing financial hardships, and in need of volunteer support. Please note that all of the tasks completed under Tasks for Good can also be booked in Taskrabbit’s regular marketplace — we kindly encourage those not in a vulnerable population to hire Taskers there.
What kinds of tasks can I find volunteer help for?
Taskers can provide minor home repair services such as installing lights or patching holes in walls; clean homes; assembly furniture; mount televisions and hang paintings; work on yardwork or gardening tasks; drop off donations – and more.

How do Tasks for Good work?
Tasks for Good are booked and completed the same as any other task via the Taskrabbit website or app, but are free of charge (except for any expense). Select the Volunteer Help category and the day and time you need help. Browse volunteer Taskers to find the right fit for you. Please share all relevant details with your Tasker in your task description and via chat, including what you need done and how long you estimate the task will take. This prepares Taskers to help in the best way possible.
After your task is completed, you’ll be charged for any related expenses , but not for the task itself. If you’d like to review and/or tip your Tasker, you can do so when prompted. It’s optional (but appreciated!) and your Tasker receives 100% of all tips.
What if my task involves expenses?
While you won’t be charged for the task itself, we will ask for a credit card at booking to cover any expenses. You can reimburse volunteers through the Taskrabbit app for any purchases they make for you. For example, if you ask a volunteer to pick up something from the hardware store, they will input the cost of the hardware to the task, which you can review. When the job is complete, your volunteer will be automatically reimbursed using the credit card that you have attached to your Taskrabbit account.
How can I tip my volunteer?
Volunteers work for free, but you can still tip them! If you wish to tip a volunteer, please do so when prompted at the completion of your task.
Why am I not seeing any Taskers in my search?
We’re sorry, all volunteers may be busy at your desired time. Please try searching for a different time window. If you are in a position to do so, you can also book a regular task through our regular marketplace at hourly rates set by Taskers.
How do I volunteer through Tasks for Good?
It’s easy to volunteer, and there is no cost to register as a volunteer Tasker. Please click here to download and register through the Tasker app. After your registration is approved, you can opt in to the Volunteer category to start receiving volunteer requests. When you are booked for your first volunteer task, we will refund you our standard $25 Tasker registration fee, which covers operational costs.
