How Does Payment on IKEA Tasks Work?

So Clients have a consistent price from the start of their booking process online or in-store, the prices for IKEA tasks are pre-set for both Clients and Taskers.

Every IKEA task has an estimated task duration, which has been crowdsourced from thousands of similar tasks performed by Taskers over the years. The fixed-rate fee is then based on the estimated time for assembly.

As the duration of an IKEA task is estimated, assembly times may vary based on a number of factors, including a Tasker’s speed and familiarity with the item or the Client’s directions.

On rare occasions, Taskrabbit may offer additional payments on some IKEA tasks. The amount of the additional payment is decided solely by Taskrabbit and depends on several factors such as task demand, length of the task, and the commute time/expense.

Some additional information on additional payments:

  • If a Task has an additional payment, you’ll see it outlined in red when offered the task.
  • The payment will usually process in 4-12 business days. It won’t show in your app transactions, but it will display in your “Transaction History” on the web.
  • The additional payment will only be processed if the task is performed and completed successfully and the client is satisfied with it.
  • Taskers should only contact the IKEA Fulfilment Team if they haven't received it within 3 business days after the task is completed.
