How Do I Turn on Two-Factor Authentication?

Two-Factor Authentication provides important protection for your Taskrabbit account. 

Opt in to Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) anytime by following these quick steps: 

For Taskrabbit and Tasker App Users 

Step 1: Open your app.

Step 2: Click the "Profile" section in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. 

Step 3: Click on the "Account Security" box.

Step 4: Enter your phone number to receive your security code via text message. Please note: If you do not receive a code right away please wait for (1) minute before requesting a new code. 

Step 5: Enter the 6-digit security code.  

Step 6: Your two-factor authentication (2FA) is active! Confirm by clicking the green "Got it." bar at the bottom of the page. 

Turn off Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) anytime by returning to the "Account Security" page and clicking the green bar at the bottom that says, "Turn Off". 

Important: Reach out to our Support Team if Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is very suddenly turned off or if you need help due to a lost phone or changed phone number.

For Web Users

Step 1: Log into your account at taskrabbit.com

Step 2: Click on the "My Account" tab on the top right of the page.

Step 3: Click on the "Account Security" tab on the left. 

Step 4: Enter your phone number to receive your security code via text message. Please note: If you do not receive a code right away please wait for (1) minute before requesting a new code. 

Step 5: Find the 6-digit security code sent to your phone via text message. 

Step 6: Enter the 6-digit security code into the prompt on your screen. 

Step 7: Click the green "Verify" box.

Step 8: Your two-factor authentication (2FA) is activated! Confirm by clicking the green "Got it." bar. 

Turn off Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) anytime by returning to the "Account Security" page of your account and clicking the green button that says, "Turn Off".
