Communication After Task Invite Policy

We strive to provide a safe platform for all of our users. To promote a safe, respectful, and positive experience, we have outlined the following policy concerning communicating on or after the task.  

This policy applies to both Taskers and Clients and outlines the expectations for how to communicate on the platform. Please note that the requirements and examples below are not exhaustive and are subject to change.

This policy requires that: 

  • Task-related communications must be prompt and entirely on the Taskrabbit platform, (i.e, in-app chat or call features) and including or sharing personal contact details is not allowed.
    • Personal contact details include but are not limited to, sharing phone numbers, DM contacts, email addresses, or any means of off-platform contact or communication. 
  • Task scope changes, meaning changes to the work itself, must be documented and agreed upon by all Users in the chat thread.
    • For example:
      • Adding or removing items or scope (add additional furniture items, make additional repairs etc.)
      • Additional charges (subject to the expense policy)
      • Taskers who dispatch other registered Taskers to complete the Task
  • In the rare event that Taskrabbit’s in-app chat or call feature does not function, Taskrabbit may provide contact information to either party to ensure a Task moves forward on time.
  • Content shared in the task chat or by phone must adhere to our Community Standards.

This policy is intended to clarify expectations set forth in Taskrabbit's Global Terms of Service. Please note that Terms of Service violations can result in account limitations, including account suspension and/or deactivation.

Taskrabbit reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time.
