If you hold a UK passport, your Right to Work verification is simple and can be completed entirely within the Taskrabbit app.
What you will need:
Your UK passport (valid or recently expired).
A smartphone with a working camera.
About 2 to 3 minutes.
How it works:
Open the verification link. You will receive this via email, push notification, or in-app message. New Taskers will see it as part of the registration flow.
Confirm you are a UK citizen. Select the UK passport option when prompted.
Scan your passport. Use your phone camera to capture the photo page of your passport. Make sure the image is clear and all text is readable.
Complete the identity check. You may be asked to take a selfie so Persona can match your face to the passport photo.
Done. You will receive confirmation once your verification is approved. No further action is needed.

Can I use a UK driving licence or national ID card?
No. For Right to Work purposes, UK citizens must verify using a passport. This is in line with UK government requirements.
My passport has expired. Can I still use it?
In some cases, recently expired passports may be accepted. If yours is rejected, you will need to renew it before completing verification. Contact Taskrabbit Support if you need more time.
I don't have a passport. What should I do?
If you are a UK citizen without a passport, please contact Taskrabbit Support. We will work with you to find a solution, but you may need to apply for a passport to complete the process.
