If your Taskrabbit account has been restricted, it means the deadline for completing Right to Work verification has passed and we did not receive a completed check from you.
What does a restricted account mean?
While your account is restricted, you will not be able to accept new tasks, appear in search results, or receive task invitations. Your account history, ratings, and profile information are still saved and will not be deleted.
How do I restore my account?
You can restore your account at any time by completing the verification process. Here is what to do:
Open the verification link. Check your email for the most recent message from Taskrabbit about Right to Work verification. The link to start the process is included there. If you cannot find it, contact Taskrabbit Support and we will send a new one.
Complete the check. If you are a UK citizen, you will verify using your passport. If you are a non-UK national, you will need a share code (see our article "How to get a UK share code" for a step-by-step guide).
Wait for confirmation. Once your verification is approved, your account will be restored automatically. You will receive a confirmation message and can begin accepting tasks again.
How long does restoration take?
In most cases, your account is restored within minutes of a successful verification. If it has been more than 24 hours and your account is still restricted after completing the check, please contact Taskrabbit Support.
Why was my account restricted?
UK law requires Taskrabbit to confirm that all Taskers have the right to work in the United Kingdom. Accounts that did not complete verification by the final date were restricted to keep the platform compliant.
I did not receive any reminders.
If you believe you did not receive any communications about this, please check your spam or junk folder. It is also possible that your email address on file is outdated.
Contact Taskrabbit Support and we will help you update your details and get verified.
